Cargill Brings In Big Gun To Run Asia, Historic Shift After 154 Years In Business

The world’s largest and oldest agribusiness, Cargill appointed its CFO Marcel Smits to chairman of Asia Pacific & head of corporate strategy. Smits is the first board-level executive in the company’s 154 years of history to operate outside the U.S., signalling the significance of Asia.
